About Me
My name is Ms. Hennelly. I love spending time with my friends and family. Playing sports was my favorite activity growing up. I used to think learning was really hard. It took me awhile, but when I realized that I did not have to learn the same way as everyone else, it became a lot easier and more fun. A great teacher taught me this and that is when I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I look forward to helping you find the fun in learning and help the topics that seem hard, feel a lot easier.
Education
I graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2017 with a BA in History and a certification in Social Studies and Special Education. I am currently taking grad courses towards a masters in special education.
Teaching Experience
I currently teach Learning/ Study Skills and Social Studies for the School District of the Chathams. I am about to finish my second year at this school. Prior to this school, I was a teacher of a Secondary Autism and Behavioral Disabilities class in Sparta, NJ. Prior to the pandemic, I was tutoring privately, but found that I would prefer to tutor with an organization for safety purposes. I have tutored most subject, but specialize in study skills and social studies for middle level through high school.
Interests
I am a field hockey, lacrosse, and weight training coach. I coach because of my love for the sports, less so more financial reasons. I also enjoy reading, yoga, and gardening. I often take trips to the beach and I enjoy going to sporting events with friends and family.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
